Responsible Care, as an international initiative which has been adopted in 46 countries around the world, provides for continuous improvement and drives companies to achieve more than just legislative compliance. As a member of PharmaChemical Ireland, Arran adheres to this programme and subscribes to the principles of the programme.

Arran is in good compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintains its Safety Management System (SMS), with regular updates, to take account of new national and European directives.

Arran manages its environmental control programme within an Integrated Pollution Control (IPC) Licence supervised by the Irish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
